Top Three Books I Can’t Wait To Read In September (Sequel Edition!)

Top Three Books I Can’t Wait To Read In September (Sequel Edition!)

Last month, I highlighted three books I couldn’t wait to read in August.

This month I decided to do something a little different. Rather than just tell you three books I’m looking forward to reading, I decided to list three upcoming SEQUELS. There are a lot of excellent sequels coming out this month, and it was really hard to just pick three! But after a period of deliberation, I was finally able to select just three books.

Note: While all of the books on this list are sequels, I highly recommend all of these series.

Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas

Sarah Maas is one of my favorite authors, and I can’t wait to get my hands on the fifth installment in her Throne of Glass series! If you haven’t read her Throne of Glass series, I can’t recommend it enough. It feels like I can’t say anything about the series without spoiling something, so I’ll just tell you this: the main character is one of the coolest heroines EVER and Sarah Maas’s plots are breathtakingly intricate.

So if you like thick fantasy books filled with magic, an amazingly well-developed fictional world, and some swoon-worthy romance (not to mention princes, an evil king, and a pirate or two), the Throne of Glass series is perfect for you.

Seriously. Read this series. You won’t regret it.

A Torch Against The Night by Sabaa Tahir

I absolutely loved first book in this series, An Ember In The Ashes, and I can’t wait for the sequel! And the numerous five-star reviews on Goodreads make me want this book even more. A Torch Against the Night promises a healthy dose of adventure in Sabaa Tahir’s one-of-a-kind world, which was inspired by the Roman Empire.

So if you like your books with action, a great fictional world, and some amazing characters (my personal favorites from the series are Elias and Helene), you’ll love A Torch Against the Night.

Fall of Hades by Richard Paul Evans

The sixth book in the Michael Very series is almost here! And the title, which features the name of my favorite Greek god, has only served to increase the anticipation. And the blurb online, which says so little about what’s really going to happen, is just simply so enticing!

I suppose I could gush about my favorite Michael Vey characters and talk about the series’ deliciously addicting quality, but I’m going to talk about my favorite thing about the Michael Vey books: the electric children’s powers. I love how Richard Paul Evans puts real science behind their powers, and it makes the books that much stronger.

I would recommend the Michael Vey books to middle schoolers, especially reluctant readers.
