Books I’m
Looking Forward To Reading In August
I,
like every other bookworm I know, have a huge list of books that I can’t wait
to read. It doesn’t help that my to-read list never stops growing! Here are
three books that I’m looking forward to reading in August…and crossing off that
mile-long list.
Summerlost
by Ally Condie
My
cousin recommended Summerlost to me, describing it as powerfully written,
filled with incredible characters, and sprinkled with a dash of mystery. I
don’t know about you, but that description (and my cousin’s excellent taste in
books) convinced me that this was a book that I simply had to read.
The
author of Summerlost is Ally Condie. Does her name sound familiar? She’s the bestselling
author of the Matched trilogy and the novel Atlantia. Summerlost is her first jaunt into
middle grade, and I’m looking forward to seeing how she writes it.
Harry Potter And the
Cursed Child
By Jack Thorne, J.K.
Rowling, and John Tiffany
It
would not be amiss to call this the most anticipated book of the year.
Nineteen
years since J.K Rowling introduced the world to the famous boy wizard and nine
years after the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows forced
us to say goodbye, we’ll get another chance to visit Hogwarts.
Adapted
from a story written by J.K. Rowling, the play debuts on London’s West End on
July 30, and the script will be published on July 31 (which also happens to be
Harry’s birthday!). I simply can’t wait to get my hands on a copy, pour myself
a cup of tea, curl up with my stuffed Hedwig, and read it. Who knows…I may
finish it before August 1!

P.S. I Like You
By Kasie West
Kasie
West writes THE BEST boy-meets-girl stories. Her novels are filled with clever
comebacks, amazing characters, fun plots, and a huge dose of adorableness. I
absolutely loved her other books, and I’ve been salivating about P.S. I Like
You ever since she mentioned it in an interview.
I’m
a huge fan of Kasie West. If you love to read the sweetest romance books (or
are interested in a mind-blowing paranormal), I totally recommend her books!
I
hope you enjoyed my list of three books I’m planning on reading in August! Tell us in the comments - books are you planning on reading this month?
