The second annual TAB squared event!

Hicklebee’s Teen Advisory Board – also known as the Totally Awesome Bibliophiles – is excited to host the second ever Terrific Author Bash, an event perfect for Terrifyingly Amazing Booklovers!

The first Terrific Author Bash was celebrated at Hicklebee’s last year and was a huge success. We hosted seven great authors:  Douglas Rees, Katherine Longshore, Corrine Jackson, Hannah Jayne, Stephanie Kuehn, Debra Driza, and Talia Vance. First, each author spoke about their book for a few minutes, followed by some time for the guests to walk around, introduce themselves to the authors, and get their books signed. Each writer was situated at a small table, where they were able to have conversations with the people who came up to them. During that time, lots of delicious food was brought out, and everybody enjoyed eating it while discussing books – a book lover’s dream!

At the end of the night, prizes were given out: people got a ticket for every book they bought, and those tickets were all put in a raffle box, from which a winners were picked out. These winners got to enjoy amazing prizes such as free books, movie posters, bookmarks, and more. Even those who did not win something came out happy, for while people were leaving, they were each handed a free ARC, or Advanced Reader Copy of a book. All in all, everyone had a great time at the first ever TAB² event last year.

For our second annual TAB² event, we are excited to host five Bay Area authors:  Tricia Stirling, Annameekee Hesik, Stacey Lee, Tamara Ireland Stone, and Lynn Carthage.  Each author has written a remarkable young adult novel. Please join us for great food, amazing prizes and one-on-one time with these spectacular authors!
